about Pascal Bournet

My name is Pascal Bournet and I am a musician from England. Born in 1968 in Macclesfield near manchester, my early memories are of my parents playing various musical instruments throughout my childhood. My love for music started right there.

The first instrument I learned was the acoustic guitar. My dad bought me a 1960s madona when I was 6 and I played for hours on that thing and absolutely loved it. As time went on, I got good and started playing through school and college. I was a little bit of a hippy and the guitar made me a hit with the ladies.

When I gratuated from the University of Manchester, real life st in. Music really was not paying the bills and it was all a struggle to make ends meet for years. I used to play in local bars and clubs while I was a student to make some beer money but now being in my mid 20s, it was not so cool to be doing that.

What ensued was an absense of music in my life for a few years and I got a regular 9-5 job which I absolutly hated. Too much friction, regularity and boredom. But hey, it paid the bills.

But then I met my now wife Maya. The most supportive and beautiful thing I had ever seen. Over the years, she encouraged me to go back to music and follow my passion. She told me not to worry about "making it" but rather focus on doing what I enjoyed which was music. Afterall, she was doing what she enjoyed which was running a boutique near the student village in Manchester. She wasn't rich financially but was very in peace with herself and had a very rich life.

For those of you not familiar with manchester, let me tell you that it is a truly amazing place.
manchester
A student town of 60,000 students, you meet people from all walks of life. Every night, there is something going on and is priced ridiculously cheap so you can have a blast on a budget which is what I did through my student days. The greatest thing about manchester though is the awesome IKEA store where we buy all our furniture.

Moving on, nowadays, I spend my time playing local gigs around Manchester and I couldn't be in a happier place in my life. I have 2 beautiful twin sons who are both also learning music. At some point in the future, I will update the list of my upcoming gigs so be sure to check back regularly.
